In Africa, Macmillan titles have been praised by experts and received recognition ranging from the Zambia Arts Council Ngoma award to the National Arts Merit Awards in Zimbabwe. Macmillan Caribbean also continues to impress, receiving commendations from educational specialists and governing bodies. In recent years, titles have been honored at the prestigious Commonwealth Writer’s Prize and First Book Award ceremonies, as well as with the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award.
The British Council Innovation Awards have honored Macmillan’s ELT titles, including The Macmillan English Dictionary for Advanced Learners, Bugs, Campaign Military English and Macmillan English. Most recently, White Fang, a Macmillan Reader title, was awarded the highest honor in the ‘Adolescent and Adult - Elementary’ category in the Extensive Reading Foundation’s Language Learner Literature Awards 2009.

The most recent winner was Y.L. Ting, a professor at the University of Calabria in Italy, for her book CLIL - Biology Towards IGCSE.
